As the name suggests, pictures of beautiful in the Taisho era (1912-1926) are packed in this furoshiki (wrapping cloth) as if there were a hundred of them. This design is composed of Ukiyoe prints, which is representative of traditional Japanese culture in the Edo era (1600-1866).
All designs are dyed by hand using multiple templates. This makes each furoshiki’s design look as if it has been painstakingly brushed on. To Japanese people, the act of wrapping something, whether it is a gift or not, implies a modest heart that takes good care of things. This product makes an excellent thank-you gift.
